Franchise Operation

The Chicken Rice Shop is a part of hard work their owned and their team of 800 employees. Their own believe the key is investing in people and in building them to be leaders in the organisation. TCRS spends about 5% to 10 % of its annual revenue on marketing efforts.In 2010, TCRS made a net profit of RM 333, 981on the back of RM 59.7 mil in revenue. The early years ffor TCRS saw a rapid expansion in terms of new outlets, with an average of eight outlets opened a year. 80 of TCRS outlets are owned and operated by TCRS Restaurant. Their oulet oversea are a hybrid of joint venture and franchise system.They want to work with their partner to make sure that the outlets are successful. To being brand owners, they can add more value to the stores rather than just selling franchise. The model franchise of TCRS certainly worked well. They now looks forward to owning an outlet in every major town in the country and is determined to see their vision become reality.

For me, TCRS Restaurant was succecful to  make their franchise successful food chain offering a local favourite dish. We must proud because they took chicken rice to make a commercial, which is a very Malaysian product, to be in a position where they can compete with international food and beverage players. Inspired by grandmother’s traditional secret Hainanese chicken rice recipe and maternal grandmother’s treasured recipes from Penang, the best of both grandmothers’ recipes were perfected and introduced into the menu and served specially for their customer.             They started a food chain because they saw a need to have a good chicken rice place in Malaysia that is conceptualised as a family restaurant. They wanted a place where all Malaysians could go to for a good meal. Both chicken and rice are staples for Malaysia and it is dish that people already know.             People who interest to join this oulet, they can set up an efficient chain of distinctive chicken rice restaurants across their market, easily and effectively with "TCRS" franchise.
